Where we are

Hotel Serena is located in Via dei Salici in Rieti, in the quiet district of "Città Giardino”.

You can reach the charming old town with a pleasant walk. It is full of medieval testimonies and attractions. You can enjoy the imposing medieval walls and the Church of St Francis (the second to be dedicated to the cult of the saint, after the Basilica of Assisi). Another important monument is the Roman bridge that crosses the river Velino and the Flavio Vespasiano Theatre whose acoustics are considered to be one of the best in the world. Worth a visit is the Town Hall, home to the Civic Museum, and the Diocesan Museum of ecclesiastical assets nestled between the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, the Episcopal or Papal Palazzo and the baptistery of Giovanni in Fonte.

The charming route among the remains of the Roman viaduct of the 3rd century BC of "Rieti Sotterranea" is also well worth a visit. There are numerous venues scattered around the historical centre and in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the highest point of the city, where you may spend a pleasant evening.

At a short distance from our hotel, you may also find the "Raul Guidobaldi" athletics stadium, the NBC School "Verdirosi" barracks, and the "Perseo" shopping centre.
